I took a wonderul trip to the Gifford Pinchot National forest. We camped at Lake Takhlakh campground, right on the lake. Even though I have lived all my life in Washington state, I had never heard of this lake. It was the most beautiful view with Mt Adams reflected perfectly in the lake. When I took this picture it was so still and quiet. It was like I was the only one present with nature. WOW!
On the way back home it started to rain but I still wanted to see the Cedar Creek Grist mill. It was not open on this day, which is unfortunate, as I hear they have some great bakery items. I still really enjoyed seeing and photographing this working grist mill. This little trip was a very welcome experience from the busy summer season.
